"HAPPY ENDING" CONTEST
2nd - 6th August 2010
Well, to begin with, TRAXXfm cares about you and would like to give out RM3000…. just for you !! Yup you heard us right...RM 3000. So how can you pick the stash up..???
We would like you to take part in our "Happy Ending" Contest! Here’s what you gotta do
The “Happy Ending” mechanics:
We don't know if you had done this is school before. Starting off a story with just one sentence and passing the paper on to the next kid to continue where you left off. The end result, a totally ridiculous and original story.
What we have done is reverse engineered the whole thing! We have the WHOLE ORIGINAL STORY with us. We have dissected it into phrases, sentences and even words of expression.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it is to put the story back together in its original state and give it back to us without missing out a single word!!! IN ORDER!!!! Sounds easy innit???
To participate, tune in to TRAXXfm from the 2nd of August till the 6th of August, beginning with the Morning Show with Double D and Roundhead, and it continues through to the other shows, TRAXX 101, Take A Break, Drive By, TRAXX Beats and Late Nites.
Each show will give out either a phrase, a sentence or even an expression, IN NO SPECIFIC ORDER, that eventually when rearranged will complete our story.
To make your life easier, a number will be attached to each sentence/phrase or expression so that you won't have any problems putting the story back together. Each phrase, sentence or expression will only be mentioned TWICE on each show. So PAY CLOSE ATTENTION !
The last sentence/phrase or expression will be given during Drive By on Friday 6th July 2010...
AND THEN,
Wait for the cue call and give us back our original story IN ORDER . If you get right, you'll definitely be laughing your way to the bank RM3000 richer!!!! NOW isn't that a “Happy Ending" indeed.

Izlin Xantia, Sabrina Amin and Farouq Daniel were the voices of “Listen Up”, a forum about the WAR and behavior and etiquette of children nowadays. They also shared their view on violence in this pre-recorded forum.
For their contribution they were presented with a Certificate, a plaque and Chinese New Year Ang Pow by TRAXXfm Manager, Puan Rohani Harituddin. Incidentally, it was also Puan Rohani's birthday and the TRAXXfm crew decided to throw her a small party to celebrate the occasion.
TRAXXfm's monthly forum ' Listen Up' invites children to talk about a particular issue, roping the children in creative production when it comes to greetings from them during events and festivals and this time around the infamous TRAXXfm On The Road Tour has also been organized to reach out to the young ones. The station has organized 5 (five) major Radio Deejay Workshops for children aged between 12 and 15 years old in Penang, Johor, Melaka, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. Partnering with RTM sister stations in Malaysia, the younger generation will get first hand information about what it takes to be a Deejay. After the Deejay Workshops, TRAXXfm will then get interactive on the streets of these main towns at night. Due to the enormous response received the last time, the deejays of TRAXXfm will interact with the shoppers, by-standers, listeners and everyone in between with games, contest and fantastic prizes to be given away.

MIRI INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL 2010 |
 |
|
Inspired by Passion - Fueled by Improvisation
There is no one better at expanding jazz in the local music industry than the Sarawak Tourism Board (STB). A fact that was proved accurate during the Miri International Jazz Festival 2010 (MIJF 2010), which happened on the 14th and 15th of May 2010, in Miri, Sarawak. Congratulations to STB for their success in satisfying the palates of jazz enthusiasts with an array of world class entertainers.
TRAXXfm through it's Jazz Kitchen programme, is also an excellent platform for jazz musicians as well fans, locally and internationally to showcase their music.
The Jazz Kitchen which airs once a week on Sundays from 4pm to 7pm will re-air the live recordings from the Miri International Jazz Festival 2010, recorded by producers Mareaty Johari & Madonna John who covered the event.
The list of entertainers at the MIJF 2010, can be described as the best lineup ever showcased by STB in it's 5 years of organizing a jazz music festival. The uniqueness of Amina Figarova, along with the legendary Blues Grammy winning James Cotton, laced with the diversity of Jeremy Tordjman, in addition to the astounding composition of Michael Shrieve's Spellbinder, colored with the profoundly beautiful musical influence of Norbert Susemihl's New Orleans All Stars, not forgetting the hauntingly sexy tunes of Ricardo Herz with the traditional arrangements of Simak Dialog, are the main reason this years MIJF captured the hearts of Jazz fans around the globe.
As the sun set on the 14th of May 2010, the city of Miri was serenaded with energetic performances, accompanied with the perfect weather for a Jazz Festival. Fans and guests for the MIJF 2010, sat back and enjoyed the breathtaking performances lined up. This year, MIJF 2010, distinctively implemented new elements by introducing international DJ's to spin a collection of soulful Jazz music for those who love to get up and dance!
The following day, on the 15th of May 2010, the beautiful city of Miri became hostage to a heavy downpour, starting from 4pm to 9pm, leaving the venue wet. However, this barely dampened the spirits of Jazz enthusiasts at the festival, who refused to let a little rain ruin their fun. The jamming session for the finale was the ultimate cherry ontop of an overall amazing festival. No doubt that fans won't be able to wait to return to next year's MIJF.
To all the winners of TRAXXfm's Groovy You contest, CONGRATULATIONS and we hope to see you again soon!
